Terms of service
Last updated 4 September 2026
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you, the client, and George Ife-Alabi, trading as DeckStory, a sole professional operating under Expo City Dubai freelance permit FLP-00137, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean DeckStory. "You" means the client organisation.
2. What the service is
We connect to analytics and advertising accounts you authorise, read performance data from them, combine that data with targets and context you supply, and deliver a slide deck by email on an agreed schedule.
3. Access is by arrangement
DeckStory is not currently a self-service product. There is no public sign-up and no automatic subscription. Access is arranged directly with us, and the scope, schedule and fee are agreed in writing before the service begins.
4. What you provide
To deliver the service you agree to:
- Grant and maintain the platform access we need, and tell us promptly if it is revoked or expires
- Supply your targets, objectives and marketing calendar, and keep them current
- Ensure you have the right to grant us access to the accounts you connect
- Give us a working email address for delivery
If access lapses or context is not supplied, the deck may be incomplete or delayed. We will tell you when that happens.
5. Fees
Fees are as agreed in writing. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We may suspend the service if an invoice remains unpaid, after giving you notice.
6. Accuracy, and the limits of automated commentary
We take accuracy seriously. Figures are read directly from the source platforms and we do not alter them.
Decks include written commentary that is generated with the assistance of automated tools. That commentary is interpretation, not fact, and not professional advice of any kind. It is not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
You remain responsible for decisions you take. Before acting on anything material in a deck, check the underlying figure in the source platform.
Where a source platform reports data late, incompletely or inconsistently, the deck will reflect that. Discrepancies between a deck and a platform's own interface can arise from differences in attribution model, time zone or reporting window, and are not necessarily errors.
If you spot something you believe is wrong, tell us and we will investigate promptly.
7. Data protection
We process data in accordance with our privacy policy. In respect of any personal data, you are the controller and we act as processor on your instructions.
We do not process your customers' personal data, individual order records or raw event data. The service operates on aggregated metrics.
8. Intellectual property
Your data remains yours. Your brand assets remain yours, and you grant us permission to use them solely to style decks produced for you.
The DeckStory software, templates, prompts and methodology remain ours. Decks produced for you are yours to use, share and store internally without restriction.
9. Confidentiality
We treat your commercial data as confidential and will not disclose it to anyone other than the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy.
We will not use your data or your results as a case study, reference or example without your written permission.
10. Dependence on third-party platforms
The service depends on APIs operated by Shopify, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Klaviyo. Those platforms can change, restrict, price or withdraw access on their own terms and without notice to us.
If a platform becomes unavailable, we will tell you, deliver what we can from the remaining sources, and work on a resolution. We are not liable for a third-party platform's own outage, change or decision.
11. Availability
We do not offer a service level agreement at this stage. We aim to deliver on the agreed schedule and will tell you promptly if a delivery will be late.
12. Term and termination
Either party may end the agreement by giving thirty days' written notice.
We may suspend or end the service immediately if fees remain unpaid after notice, or if the service is used unlawfully.
On termination we stop collecting data, and you may request deletion of your data as set out in the privacy policy.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with this agreement is limited to the total fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of business opportunity.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be sent to active clients by email at least thirty days before they take effect.
